The camp was the brainchild of long time Poly Basketball coach Erroll Parker who wanted to provide a safe, fun, and academically challenging basketball camp to Long Beach youth. In his desire to continue the legacy of academic scholarship and basketball acuity for which Poly has a reputation, he brought his idea to legendary high school basketball coach Ron Palmer who agreed to co-found the program and allow it to be his namesake.<\/p>\n<p>2025 brought new activities and a new name to the camp.
